Hi! I'm Allison!
A few years ago, I had some health problems, so I took a year off of teaching. After surgery and chemotherapy, I recovered quickly and this difficult experience ended up being a blessing in disguise.
It blessed me with time to reflect on how I teach math and how I can better support students who struggle.
It blessed me the motivation to write two books that help students figure out how to succeed in math.
And it blessed me with the reminder that, although life is short, our impact, as teachers and parents, can be vast and far-reaching.
